Matthew Mentel,  MHA, MBA, CMRP

founder and CEO

Matt is currently the CEO of Strategic Optimization and Innovation Partners LLC.  He brings to his clients more than 31 years of experience in health care including over 24 years in strategic execution, innovative leadership, supply chain, finance, operations, project management, and information technology.  In addition, over the past 8 years, Matt has been heavily involved in setting the vision, strategy, and execution for the operational integration between supply chain, finance, and clinical operations in industry and partnering organizations.  Matt has held leadership roles in large health systems and has led initiatives from the frontline to the board of directors.  

Matt operates under the core belief that success is demonstrated by focusing on right structure, engaged people, standardized processes, and solutions for sustainability.  All this is focused on the redesign of healthcare and enrichment of the experience for caregivers and patients. 

Matt is a Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) and has been the leader and member of the Healthcare Transformation Group (HTG), a member of the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).  He is active in the industry leading and engaging with thought leaders around the transformation of health care.  Matt received a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems with a Certificate in Health Information Management, a Master of Health Administration, and a Master of Business Administration from St. Louis University.
